Victorian Villa, London

  • Our clients approached us to help them bring a vision to breathe new life into this period property while respecting its historical character. Providing a warm, simple yet elegant addition that enhances the family living environment. Spaces are to be subtly functionally organised to have a natural flow and cadence that reflects how their days are spent together, but also giving their family home the ‘wow’ factor

The heart of our proposal is an ambitious 100sqm rear wrap-around extension at ground level. This transformation will create a stunning open-plan living space, seamlessly integrating the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Large glazed sections will frame picturesque views of the garden, bringing the outside in and flooding the space with natural light.

Our design also extends vertically, the current unused roof terrace will give way to an extend bedroom complete with a luxurious ensuite bathroom and dressing room.

We’ve incorporated several eco-conscious features including a green roof system, solar PV panels, and a Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) system.

As we progress through the developed design stages, we’re targeting a mid-summer construction start. Collaborating very closely with @bw_structures has been instrumental in achieving precision for our design and construction. Every detail meticulously planned, every challenge elegantly solved.

The transformation of this Victorian Villa exemplifies our commitment to thoughtful urban renovation - proving that with careful consideration, we can create spaces that honour architectural context while embracing contemporary living needs.
